Chair - Immediate Life Support (ILS) course Subcommittee
Jas Soar has been involved with the RC (UK) since 2000. He has had numerous roles and responsibilities including Chairman (2009-2012) and Vice-Chairman (2007-2009, 2012-2013). His current roles include chairing the ILS Subcommittee, the Quality Standards Working Group, and the Guidelines 2015 Working Group, as well as membership of the Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Research and Development Subcommittees. Jas also has a number of national and international resuscitation roles. He is an Editor for the journal Resuscitation, ALS Working Group Chair for the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), and an ALS Task Force Co-chair for the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). He works as a consultant in anaesthetics and intensive care medicine at Southmead Hospital, Bristol.
