  • Restart A HeartDay Restart a Heart Day 2017A record number of people have been trained in life-saving CPR for the fourth annual European Restart a Heart day (16 October 2024). Events all across the UK saw 195,000 young people instructed in essential skills to become future lifesavers.
  • Automate External Defibrillator (AED) DfE plan to allow schools to purchase defibrillators at a lower costThe Resuscitation Council (UK) welcomes the recommendation by the Department for Education that all schools in England should invest in life-saving defibrillators.
  • GMC logo GMC open letter to NHS managersThe Chairman of the General Medical Council has joined with other chief medical officers to urge NHS managers and employers to fully support doctors undertaking advisory and support roles that will benefit healthcare systems across the UK.

Restart a Heart day

  • Promo-RSAH2018.jpg Restart A Heart DayRestart a Heart Day is an event and takes place on 16 October every year. The aim of this campaign is to create awareness that everyone can learn CPR and facilitate BLS training in schools and public locations.
  • Promo-Conference2019.jpg Conference 2019This year's conference marks an exciting change in our approach; it will take place over two days. The extended programme offers a wide variety of resuscitation topics prior to the development of Guidelines 2020.
