This manual is intended for candidates on the EPALS Provider course. It is a collaborative work by the European Resuscitation Council and the Resuscitation Council (UK) and is for use in the UK. It follows the ERC guidelines and provides the core knowledge required to provide adequate management of the critically ill child during the first hour of illness. Each section is accompanied by a bibliography to allow EPALS providers to explore the science behind the resuscitation guidelines.
